Prof. P. MURUGAVEL'S RESEARCH GROUP

Perovskite Materials Laboratory

Functional Oxides Research Group (FORG)

Welcome to Prof. P. Murugavel’s Research Group – Perovskite Materials Laboratory

Prof. P Murugavel is an Experimental Condensed Matter Physicist whose research interests are driven by current experimental observations that challenge the standard paradigms of ferroelectric and magnetoelectric oxides in bulk and thin film geometry. Currently our group focus on investigating the fundamental and multifunctional aspects of ferroelectric oxides and their interface related phenomena pertaining to multiferroics, photovoltaics, electrocaloric, energy storage, triboelectric and flexo-electrocaloric applications.

We have formed Functional Oxides Research Group (FORG) with seven faculty members which is a Centre for Research under the Institute of Eminence.
